Always: Robert & Chelsea
Robert & Chelsea's wedding day was a WHIRLWIND to say the least. It started out as a beautiful, clear skied sunny Saturday morning that turned horrific- the entire state of Hawaii received an alert stating that a ballistic missile was inbound and to seek shelter immediately. I'm getting chills just writing about it now. Yes, as you have probably heard, it was indeed a false alarm. Thank God. Now, imagine it being your wedding day when this was all happening. GEEZ.
After receiving the relieving news of the false alarm, the day proceeded. After about 2 o clock, in typical Hilo fashion, clouds began to roll in. Not ideal weather for an outdoor wedding as you can imagine. The ceremony was pushed up about half an hour in order to beat the rain, and regardless of the weather, there was so much JOY. Chelsea just smiled and added that she had the PERFECT wedding shoes for the rainy weather: a pristine pair of gold converse sneakers. She and Robert exchanged vows under a dark, cloudy sky on a cliff near the ocean, surrounded by their closest loved ones. They were so joyful through EVERYTHING, especially considering the events of that morning.
These two are totally my kind of people. They are so sweet and genuinely just KIND and caring. Throughout the entirety of the night, Chelsea asked me multiple times "Are you okay? Do you need anything?" I mean COME ON. On a day that was supposed to be all about them, the couple was constantly making sure that their guests and vendors were happy. Aside from their insanely classy Harry Potter theme, their kindness and care made their wedding one that I will never forget.
It was a great honor to work with Robert & Chelsea's vendors!
